Camping checklist: what to pack for a night in a tent

A camping trip needs 10 things: tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, headlamp, camp stove, water, food, first aid kit, power bank and rain jacket. That is the “Camping” template in PackTheDay. Tick it off as you pack and change it however you like.

Camping

10 things

  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping mat
  • Headlamp
  • Camp stove
  • Water
  • Food
  • First aid kit
  • Power bank
  • Rain jacket

Why the tent comes first

Tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat come first, because without them there is no night. Then comes what makes the difference in the dark and in the rain: headlamp, stove, rain jacket. The list is the core, not the whole kit. Cutlery, tent pegs or insect repellent you add to suit your pitch.

How it runs in PackTheDay

Hardly anyone packs for camping alone. In a shared list everyone sees live who already has what in the car, and nobody brings the third stove. The list does not reset by itself and waits for the next trip.

Questions about this list

Does everyone need PackTheDay Plus to pack together?

Does the list work without signal?

Yes. Your lists live on your iPhone, and ticking off works offline. A shared list catches up as soon as there is a connection again.
